Crichton Church was the beautiful backdrop to Sarah and Barry’s stunning wedding in Dumfries. It was an overcast morning as I made my way to Castle Douglas to photograph Sarah’s bridal preparations, however the sun was making welcome appearances later on in the morning and it looked like it was going to be a lovely day.
After a chat, a cup of coffee and some photographs of the girls, I headed off towards Dumfries to meet up with Barry and his best men and to await the arrival of the bride. I met Barry at the church and we managed to get some photos of Barry and his best men, and it wasn’t long before he was put to work, busy meeting and greeting the guests.
Sarah was bang on time for her arrival at the church and we had one or two quick photo opportunities before she was whisked inside by her Dad and Step-Dad to begin her journey down the aisle. After a lovely ceremony the newly weds stole themselves away for a short while to have their wedding portraits taken, before rejoining the guests for group photographs and champagne reception at the adjacent Easterbrook Hall.
All in all the Crichton Church is a lovely place for a wedding and the perfect setting for Sarah and Barry’s special day.
