Glenluce was the location for some outdoor portrait photography. Unfortunately the little girl really wasn’t feeling well and didn’t want her photograph taken. However with a bit of time and persistence we managed to get a few shots in the bag. The little girl loves fairies and so I tried to incorporate some fairy magic into the shoot.
I always try to allow children to behave as natural as possible when taking their photographs. I feel that this helps preserve their personality and also helps create a more natural image. I also prefer to take photographs of children on location somewhere as this gives more creative possibilities, puts them in more natural surrounding and helps to keep them interested in the camera. Portraits in the woods are especially magical. The light can be beautiful and there are frequent pools of light caused by the sun breaking through the foliage.
