Hi! I’m Dan and I’m a relaxed wedding photographer in the epic region of Dumfries and Galloway, but I shoot weddings all over the UK.
I live in a quiet village with my wife, two boys and two dogs and run a busy photography studio.
My favourite things in the world are TV box sets (especially the Vampire Diaries, Vikings or Breaking Bad) and a Costa Americano, and when I’m not shooting weddings you’ll find me walking the dogs in the countryside or attempting to fly fish (I am a conservationist, I don’t catch much).
I couldn’t live without my friends and family, good food and good books. I spend a lot of time outdoors and nothing makes me happier than meeting new people.
My love of people is what inspired me to become a wedding photographer. I’ve been a wedding photographer for nearly 12 years and I can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m proud to say that my work has been published in books and magazines and that I have won a bunch of awards, but in case you’re wondering, I have never photographed anyone famous, except Robbie Williams when he was on stage and I was in the audience – and it was on my smartphone so this probably doesn’t count.
The best thing about my job is that I get to take photographs of people who love each other and share a day with people who are having a great time.
My couples value good photography, and the last thing they want is a photographer who is super cheesy or one that doesn’t do a great job.
My wedding photography style is relaxed and natural. I capture all the wonderful and special moments, and let you get on with having an awesome time. For me the bit I love the most about a wedding day is the portrait session of the bride and groom, because it’s a chance for you to have a breather and for me to be creative.
Your wedding is all about marrying your best friend. You don’t care about worrying about the little things that don’t matter – you just want to have an amazing time with your friends and family.
If this sounds like you, and you reckon that we’d get on then get in touch!
