Auchencairn lies on the Solway Coast in Kirkcudbrightshire, Dumfries and Galloway. It sits midway between Kirkcudbright, Dalbeattie and Castle Douglas. The family farm was the location for Callum and Sze Ying’s wedding celebrations.
Callums family had worked incredibly hard over months and months to convert an old barn on the farm in to a romantic and well appointed wedding venue.
The sun shone brightly as I joined them both at the farm for some pre-wedding photographs. The wedding was to be a fusion of traditional Scottish and Malaysian elements with a humanist ceremony.
Their wedding was a very relaxed occasion and even Jack their dog was invited to witness their marriage vows. After a delightful ceremony we headed outside to the farm courtyard in order to take the group photographs of family and friends before we were seated for the most amazing wedding breakfast.
Afterwards the local choir arrived (of which Callum is the conductor) and Sze Ying played the piano as they all performed a number of songs. After an excellent performance Callum and Sze ying joined me for a short safari trip to the nearby beach in order to capture some romantic photographs of just the two of them as they spent their first moments alone as husband and wife.
It was an amazing day and it was lovely to share their beautiful celebrations.
